These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tappt — our marketing site (tappt.io), dashboard (app.tappt.io), public profiles (tappt.io/<handle>), NFC cards, and iOS/Android apps (together, the "Service"), operated by Tappt Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("Tappt", "we", "us"). By creating an account, tapping a Tappt card, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to create a Tappt account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when signing up, and to keep your username free of impersonation, abuse, or reserved system words.
Tappt lets you build a public profile ("link-in-bio") that shares your links, socials, content and contact details, optionally paired with a physical NFC smart card that opens your profile on tap. Free accounts include core profile features; Tappt Pro unlocks additional design, analytics and lead-capture features described on our pricing page. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
You retain ownership of everything you upload or post — profile media, links, "Moments," gallery photos, product listings, and any text or files (your "Content"). By posting Content, you grant Tappt a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and transmit it solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, showing your profile to visitors, or featuring public Moments in the Discover feed if you opt in). This licence ends when you delete the Content or your account, except where copies persist in routine backups for a limited period.
You're solely responsible for your Content and confirm you have the rights to post it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

Tappt lets creators list digital products, and gate photos, videos or files behind a one-time unlock price, paid via our payment processor (Stripe). You are the seller and merchant of record for anything you list; Tappt is a platform facilitating the transaction and payout, not the seller. You're responsible for the legality, accuracy, and delivery of anything you sell, for applicable taxes, and for complying with our acceptable-use rules above. We reserve the right to remove any listing or gated content that violates these Terms, and to withhold or reverse payouts connected to fraudulent or prohibited transactions.
Tappt Pro is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually via Stripe (or, on iOS, via Apple In-App Purchase where applicable). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Physical NFC cards are sold through our shop (checkout hosted by Shopify) and shipped to the address you provide. Each card carries a unique code that you claim and point at your profile; you can re-point a card to a different profile/persona at any time from your dashboard. Shipping times, pricing, and returns are as stated at checkout. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or customs.
Where we offer a referral programme (for example, a flat commission per card sold through your referral link), payouts are subject to a holding period to account for cancellations and refunds, a minimum payout threshold, and successful setup of a connected payout account (via Stripe Connect). We may withhold, delay, or reverse a referral payout in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or self-referral, and may change referral terms (including commission amounts) prospectively with notice.
The Tappt name, logo, app, website design, and underlying software are owned by Tappt Ltd and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Service as intended.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, pose a risk to other users, or if required by law. On termination, your public profile will stop resolving, and any active card pointed at it will show as unclaimed until re-linked.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tappt Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law (for example, for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence).
You agree to indemnify and hold Tappt Ltd harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice before they take effect. Continuing to use Tappt after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
